A woman was charged with being drunk while driving on the wrong side of the road and striking a police car on Jan. 18.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Nichelle Therese Horton was off-duty from her job as a MARTA bus driver when the car accident happened. The newspaper reports that she was seen driving her car southbound in the northbound lane of Lawrenceville Highway near DeKalb Industrial Parkway.

Kathy Porter was a passenger in an SUV that was struck by a state patrol trooper’s vehicle on New Year’s Eve. Trooper Donald Crozier headed west on Memorial Drive and had activated his emergency lights and siren, according to a state patrol spokesman. The trooper was on his way to assist another trooper attempting to stop a motorcyclist on nearby Interstate 20, according to news reports.
